Why talking about B1+ & B2+?

Since September 2022, DELF B1 and DELF B2 assessment grid has changed for written production (PE, in French) and oral production (PO, in French).

Scores are now applied by performance level, with four criterias, from “No answer or insufficient production” (0/5) to “B1+” or “B2+” (5/5).

What we use for the preparation?

All the documents we work on will be made available to you in both paper and digital format. We use the Google Classroom solution to facilitate access to documentation.

French language News

To be prepared, you’ll need to stard to take an active interest in French current affairs: to be able to talk about what’s on the front page, for example on the francetvinfo.fr website (which has the advantage of being free).

Rhetoric

Getting DELF or DALF means mastering what you say, what you write. We’ll work on your ability to convince, with the intelligence and respect for other that this skill requires.

Textbook

During this session, we’ll be using the DELF 100% réussite (2nd edition) manual published by Didier editions. The advantage of this textbook is that it provides good technical preparation for the exams.

What is DELF?

The DELF, or Diplôme d’Étude en Langue Française, is an exam that certifies your level of French from A1 to B2. Subjects are designed by France Éducation International (FEI), which reports to the French Ministry of Education. DELF is administered by the French government, which guarantees its recognition throughout France.

What is DALF?

The DALF, or Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française, is an exam that certifies your level in French at C1 and C2. Like the DELF, the subjects are designed by France Éducation International (FEI). Obtaining this diploma means that you are capable of using French in an intense intellectual context, in the professional world (management) or in higher education (research).

How long is DELF & DALF valid?

Once DELF or DALF obtained, it’s acquired for life.

Registration conditions

DELF DALF session is open to students who already have a validated B1 level (or close to). If this is not your case, we suggest you register for an Intense session. You must be at least 18 years old. A placement test will be proposed to you to validate your registration.
