Intensive French Course | Training content
General course
Our intensive French lessons, held for 2 hours each day, give you the chance to strengthen your French skills through engaging, theme-based learning.
We use L’atelier (2nd edition, 2022-2023), a modern and comprehensive textbook designed to support your progress during these intensive French lessons. This manual includes up-to-date insights on the new DELF exams, along with effective learning strategies that help you absorb and retain content more efficiently.
More than just a class, these lessons create a space where you can slow down, think critically, and truly enjoy the learning process. With curiosity and care, we approach each session with purpose and pleasure.
Workshops
Workshops are one hour long. It focuses on improving performance skills through activities such as acting, singing, and theater. These skills can be helpful for studying or practicing.
Our topics are unique. Discover, Paris for the A1-A2 levels, and France for the B1-B2 levels! More than a language course, we offer you a dive into French society.
You will also work on linguistic (grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, spelling) and pragmatic skills (mastering what you write and what you say). A workshop to prepare for the DELF exam is available for those at level B1 and higher. The workshop focuses on current events and discussions in France.
Self-training
On average, students are expected to spend around 3 hours per week working at home, using the activity book that comes with the main textbook. This independent study time is an essential complement to your intensive French lessons, helping you reinforce what you’ve learned in class and develop strong study habits.
What we’ll do together
You’ll take general French classes and workshops during every session.
To strengthen your independence and confidence in using French, you’ll also be encouraged to complete individual work—on your own or with classmates—in the library or in a relaxed, social environment. If you choose to study at the center, trainers are available to support you by appointment.
Every month, we organize a fully immersive cultural activity designed to connect you with life in Paris and French culture. It’s a unique opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in class while exploring the rich diversity of France beyond the textbook.
What we work on together
- Debates in French society.
- Life in Paris and France.
- Your imagination & intuition.
- Written and oral comprehension: What you understand.
- Written and oral production: What you think, how you said and write it.
- Exchange, share your feelings, your point of view in the respect of each one.
Evaluation
Two evaluation formats will be offered:
- in an evaluation grid, using which only the skills worked on are assessed, by degree of acquisition,
- in grades, i.e. on performance. Graded assessment takes place at the end of each session, using the DELF format.
What we’ll do learn
Our intensive French lessons are designed to give you a solid foundation in both pragmatic skills—what you want to say—and linguistic tools—how you say it. This dual focus helps you communicate with purpose and clarity, whether you’re asking for directions or expressing complex ideas.
But while the classroom builds structure and strategy, real-life use is what brings the language to life. The connection between structured learning and spontaneous communication becomes more and more crucial as you move from beginner to advanced levels.
Combine Classroom Work and Real-Life Use in Your Intensive French Lessons
As your level increases, so does the importance of using the language outside the classroom:
That’s why our intensive French lessons go beyond the classroom. We prepare you to understand, interact, and express yourself—in class and in the real world.
Intensive French Courses’s Strengths
Our intensive French courses last eight weeks (1 session), enabling you to progress one level (e.g. validate A2 level) in the best conditions: precise, rigorous, updated lessons in a comfortable environment. This organization enables us to support you in your objectives: to improve your use, feeling of French language and to better understand the French-speaking world.
An ambition
Working intensively my French for my professional life

“I want to start speaking French, I know a few words, but not much more. I want to be independent, because my ambition is to work in France.”
Start
End
I’m starting at A2, taking my first step with FTC Paris. In the last session, I reached the B2.1 level. After just five sessions, even with a modest background, I can communicate efficiently in French! With PLUS, I have the option to either perfect my pronunciation or participate in a DELF bootcamp. And to go even further, I can continue to B2.3, aiming to achieve a B2+ score on the DELF B2 exam.
