Our Difference

More Than a School, an Accelerator

Action-Oriented Approach

We use the “Approche Actionnelle” (CEFR 2021). You are not just a learner, you are a social agent. You learn by completing real-world tasks.

Phonetics & Mediation

From A1, we focus on prosody (the music of French). At B1/B2, we introduce Mediation: the ability to build bridges between concepts and people.

Structured Intense Sessions

No vague timelines. Each level (or sub-level) is an 8-week intense module (15h/week) designed to validate specific competencies.

A1 From Scratch

A1 – From Scratch: Start Speaking French in Paris

First Steps 8 Weeks

You’re starting from scratch in French, or almost. You live in (or are moving to) Paris and you’re tired of only saying “bonjour” and “merci”. A1 is your first clear step on the CEFR scale. From here, you’ll finally feel that speaking French is possible.

Outcomes (A1)

  • Survive in everyday situations (shops, cafés, metro, appointments).
  • Introduce yourself and talk about your daily life.
  • Ask simple questions and understand the most common answers.

FTC Paris focus: Learn the French you need for everyday life in the city.

A2 Daily Life

A2 – Express Yourself Simply and Clearly

Survival 8 Weeks

You already have an A1 level: you can manage the very basics, but your French feels limited. Conversations stop quickly. People switch to English. A2 is where French becomes useful in your daily life in Paris, not just in the classroom.

Outcomes (A2)

  • Express your basic needs, opinions and feelings more freely.
  • Talk about your habits, plans and past experiences.
  • Start following spoken French, even when it feels fast.
  • Understand the most common everyday conversations.

FTC Paris focus: We introduce specific “Oral Comprehension” workshops to decode fast native speech and media.

B1 Independent

B1 – The Confident Speaker

Threshold 3 x 8 Weeks

You’ve reached survival mode (A2). You can manage in shops and simple situations, but it’s not enough. You want to really talk about yourself, your ideas, your life in Paris. B1 is the level where French starts to feel like your language too – not just something you “study”.

Outcomes (B1.1, B1.2 & B1.3)

  • Start feeling independent in most everyday situations.
  • Talk about your experiences, projects and opinions.
  • React and respond in conversations instead of just answering yes/no
  • Understand French friends and colleagues much better, even in social situations.

FTC Paris focus: We split B1 into three 8-week modules (B1.1, B1.2, B1.3) to ensure you master the “opinion” skills before moving up.

B2 Advanced

B2 – The Independant User

Fluency 4 x 8 Weeks

You love French. You can communicate, but you want more: to feel truly independent, to sound natural, and to stop avoiding complex conversations. B2 is about the Art of Rhetoric. You can convince, negotiate, and understand complex nuances.
