DELF B2 Expectations: Argumentation & Fluency
At the B2 level, argumentation is the key written and oral skill. Mastering this (in addition to linguistic and socio-cultural skills) will enable you to take the DELF B2 in the best possible conditions. That’s why we are proud of our DELF B2 Preparation; we want you to reach B2+ criteria in every module.
FEI (France Éducation International) offers two mock exams formats: the “old” version and the “new” version of the DELF B2. Our course covers both to ensure you are ready for any format on exam day.
Course Methodology & Content
We structure our course around the two main pillars of the exam: Comprehension and Argumentation (Production). We do not provide “ready-made” answers. Instead, we accompany you to develop your own critical thinking in French, ensuring you can handle any topic thrown at you.
Mastering B2 Comprehension
Oral Comprehension (Listening)
For listening comprehension, we help you understand authentic audio documents (real extracts from radio programs like RFI). We focus on pronunciation and speed to accelerate your mastery of complex spoken French.
Written Comprehension (Reading)
The aim is to familiarize students with reading complex texts rapidly (current affairs, debates). We teach specific scanning strategies to adopt on the day of the exam to manage your time effectively.
Advanced Production: Essay & Debate
Oral Production (The Debate)
Oral production is the only individual test. Lasting 50 minutes (30 for preparation, 20 for the interview), it is designed to validate your ability to defend an opinion. We teach you the specific French “Exposé” framework to ensure you can debate confidently with the examiners.
To succeed, we use a detailed methodological approach based on analyzing your speech, helping you understand exactly what the examiners expect.
Written Production (Argumentative Essay)
You have only one hour to write a solid argumentative essay (Essai argumenté). The task involves responding to a simulated situation in 250 words. We will discover that word count is easy to achieve; the challenge is the substance. We focus on pragmatic competence: structure, logical connectors, and clarity.
Culture, Society & Personal Study
General Culture & Current Affairs
General knowledge is a crucial part of your success in the DELF B2. Exam documents are based on national current affairs (education, health, ecology, remote work). We ensure you know the main French debates, which will provide the vocabulary needed for your production tests.
Personal Work & Assignments
In connection with the weekly mock exams (every Friday), you will produce personal assignments to reinforce your knowledge. DELF is about showing an interest in social issues. Digital resources and listening comprehension tracks will be available in the group’s Google Classroom.
Weekly Mock Exams & Certification
At the end of each week, we offer a Mock DELF B2 Exam, designed and assessed according to the official criteria set by France Éducation International. This test helps you master the exam format and time management. You will receive individual feedback with one target: obtaining B2+ marks.
At the end of the month, you will receive an official attestation indicating the number of coursework hours completed, along with a transcript of your grades.
