Master nuances

More Than a School, an Accelerator

We use the “Approche Actionnelle” (CEFR 2021). You learn by completing real-world tasks, not filling worksheets.

Action-Oriented Approach

You are a social agent, not a passive learner. Every lesson focuses on completing real-world communicative tasks.

Pronunciation & Mediation

From A1, we focus on prosody (the music of French) and introduce Mediation: building bridges between concepts and people.

8-Week Intense Modules

Each level is an 8-week module (20hrs/week) designed to validate specific competencies with a final assessment.

The Scale of Your Progress

Select a level to view outcomes and key skills.

A1 — Start Speaking French in Paris

First Steps 8 Weeks

You’re starting from scratch. You live in (or are moving to) Paris and you want to go beyond “bonjour” and “merci”. A1 is your first clear step on the CEFR scale.

View full A1 Program

Outcomes

  • Survive in everyday situations (shops, cafés, metro).
  • Introduce yourself and talk about your daily life.
  • Ask simple questions and understand common answers.

FTC Paris focus: Learn the French you need for everyday life in the city.

A2 — Express Yourself Simply and Clearly

Survival 8 Weeks

You can manage the basics, but conversations stop quickly. People switch to English. A2 is where French becomes useful in your daily life, not just in the classroom.

View full A2 Program

Outcomes

  • Express needs, opinions and feelings more freely.
  • Talk about habits, plans and past experiences.
  • Start following spoken French, even when it feels fast.

FTC Paris focus: “Oral Comprehension” workshops to decode fast native speech and media.

B1 — The Confident Speaker

Threshold 3 × 8 Weeks

You can manage in simple situations, but it’s not enough. You want to really talk about your ideas and your life. B1 is where French starts to feel like your language too.

View full B1 Program

Outcomes (B1.1 → B1.3)

  • Feel independent in most everyday situations.
  • Talk about experiences, projects and opinions.
  • React in conversations instead of just yes/no.
  • Understand colleagues and friends in social contexts.

FTC Paris focus: B1 is split into three 8-week modules (B1.1, B1.2, B1.3) to master “opinion” skills before moving up.

B2 — The Independent User

Fluency 4 × 8 Weeks

You can communicate, but you want more: feel truly independent, sound natural, and stop avoiding complex conversations. B2 is about the Art of Rhetoric.

View full B2 Program

Outcomes (B2.1 → B2.4)

  • Structure ideas clearly when you speak.
  • Argue, agree and disagree without losing words.
  • Follow fast conversations, meetings and media.
  • Feel credible in social, academic or professional French.

FTC Paris focus: Sound confident and convincing in French — in real life, studies or work.

Our Pedagogical Strategy

Why multiple sessions?

Because at this level, the goal is no longer just “understanding”, but speaking naturally: responding quickly, nuancing, and holding a conversation without freezing.

Speak without freezing

Answer spontaneously, without translating in your head.

Be comfortable everywhere

Meetings, admin tasks, debates: same reflexes.

Be easily understood

Pronunciation, rhythm, clarity: people follow you.

Upgraded Curriculum

We always anticipate the next level to accelerate your progress.

In B1, you already learn to give your opinion and justify. In B2, you learn to convince and summarize.

The Vital Balance

At B-level, we work simultaneously on two realities:

Daily Life (Speed)Adapt to real flow, react faster.
Societal Life (Depth)Understand cultural codes and debates.

The 8-Week Cycle

Each session ends with a clear review and structured assessment (DELF prep) to know exactly where you stand.

Frequently Asked Questions

No minimum level required. We accept absolute beginners (A1) through advanced learners (B2). A free placement test determines your exact starting point before your first session.

Our structured path takes approximately 10 sessions of 8 weeks each (1 for A1, 1 for A2, 3 for B1, 4 for B2, plus 1 consolidation). That’s about 80 weeks at 20h/week. The exact pace depends on your starting point and dedication.

The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is the international standard for measuring language skills, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery). It is recognized worldwide by universities, employers, and immigration authorities. Our curriculum is fully CEFR-aligned.

For French citizenship, the minimum requirement is B1 oral. For most French universities, B2 is required (validated by the DELF B2 or DALF C1 exam). We offer specific DELF/DALF preparation courses to help you pass with confidence.

Yes. You can join any ongoing session on a Monday or Wednesday after the placement test. We adjust your integration based on your level and the class progress.

Each 8-week session ends with a structured assessment covering oral production, written comprehension, grammar, and phonetics. At B1+, we also include DELF-style mock exams so you know exactly where you stand on the official scale.

The Intensive format (20h/week, Mon-Fri) is designed for maximum immersion and fast progress. The Evening format (up to 14h/week) is designed for professionals who work during the day. Both follow the same CEFR curriculum and methodology.
